FIELD WORKERS – DIOCESE OF UKHAHLAMBA – (QUEENSTOWN)
The
Anglican Aids and Healthcare Trust seek to employ suitably candidates for
the positions as a field workers and facilitators for the Siyafundisa
Programme:
The Siyafundisa Programme is an HIV prevention programme
geared towards young people age 10 – 24 years old. It involves training and
educational programmes which emphasizes of behaviour change as one of many
HIV prevention interventions.
The
position offered is for a fixed term; Five months contract (Feb –
June 2010).
The
applicant should have:
-
A
relevant and/or social development experience, specific in the field of
HIV & AIDS or public health
-
Relevant experience and understanding of youth based HIV & AIDS
programmes
-
Must be willing to travel across Diocesan boundaries and sometimes
through out the country - South Africa
-
Have skills in facilitation, capacity building, strong peoples skills,
interpersonal communication and process management
-
Have experience with administration and financial Management
-
Have good advocacy skills and be able to represent the Siyafundisa
programme in the Diocese (s) and the wider Anglican Church and
communities
-
Be
computer literate in Microsoft word, Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
presentation
-
Programme management, implementation, monitoring and evaluation skills
-
Have good reporting skills, and be willing to work over holidays and
weekends
-
Possession of valid driver’s license will be added advantage
-
Good English is essential and an African language would be advantageous
