Ordination of Priests and Deacons

On 16 December Bishop Ebenezer ordained three deacons and five priests in the Cathedral of St Michael & St George Grahamstown. Family and friends gathered from the Dioceses of Grahamstown and Ukhahlamba and further afield.

At the beginning of the service the candidates prostrated themselves during the singing of the Litany.
The preacher was Brother Timothy OHC, Prior of Mariya uMama weThemba Monastery.
There were three candidates to be ordained Deacon:
Zweni Nqoko, St Michael's Queenstown (Diocese of Ukhahlamba)
Mlungisi Sihoyi, St David's Queenstown (Diocese of Ukhahlamba)
and Nokulunga Smaile, St John & St Chad Zwelitsha (Diocese of Grahamstown)
